It may just look like sod, but we have something different.What makes RTF® Water Saver Sod different?Rhizomatous Tall Fescue (RTF) is an advanced generation of turf-type tall fescue, which produces rhizomes. A rhizome is an underground stem that penetrates through the soil to spread the plant. Rhizomes send shoots up to the soil surface while extending new roots downward, forming a new plant. Rhizomes provide RTF the unique ability to fill in bare spots in the lawn. If an area in the turf is damaged, the rhizomes extend underground into these open areas, sending up new growth to repair the damaged or thin turf. RTF sod is always dense and uniform. Read more… |
